a worn path

1. the main character of this story is phoenic jackson: an old black woman, she is poor,homorous,and seem to be pitiful person.i like the character in this story. as an aging black wooman he want that africen and american must conquer these unjust obstacles in order to complete the path to racial equality.
2the story take setting in early morning in the country outside natchez,december i like this setting.
3.the story tell about equality of human right.
4. symbolism: the most obvius symbol of the story is phoenix jakson's comparsion to the metological bird.
5. elisa to begin to give up to her goal and ideas to be free from man dominating in the society.

the swimmer by jhon cheever

1. the character in this story: shirley adams is neddy's former mitress. when neddy arrive at her home, she shocked by his presence and warns him that she will nt hm any money. she is with a younger man. i dont like character in this story, because he doesn't develop, it is monotone character.
2. the story takes placei he affluent suburbs of westechester county, new york, and focuse on neddy merril, who sespite being a middle aged,wants to retain his youthand belives that he is vibrant individual. i don't know exactly about the setting of the story,although it just use the one setting.

1. the main character in the story is elisa ellen who love plnting chrysanthemums in his garden. she is brave he tried to struggling the woman right in america in that time. i like that.

the egg

character : the narrator :the is the son. from the story he presents, we know that is a gloomy man who always sees the darker side in life . he blames on his childhood days spent on the chicken farm instead of happy, joyful days of life.

the father : a cheerful farmhand up to the age of 35, but after he getting married he is influenced by his wife to be ambitious. after ten years(by 45), because of their life then he becomes silent and discouraged. even he tries hard to be succeed, failure overtakes him.
the mother: a silent school teacher who has no desire for her self, but really wants to see both her husband and her son become succed. at the and, she softens a little after realizing that their dreams come true.

between the all character i like the father character because he responsible with his family and he want make his family be happy although he failed to done that but he still want tries hard to be succeed.
the story happened in a chiken farm in the country in the restaurant across the railroad station in bidwell oiho. and i dislike the setting of this story because i can't use my imagination to imagion that setting because i don't know about that place.
the story tell good thing because that story tell about the responsible of the leader of family, and this can be a good example for all man or all father. and the style of this story is personafication.

3.Jake Grimes : selfish, egoism, cruel and rape.
in this story i dislike with the character of jake grimes because he is a man but he didn't be a gentel and he didn't responsible with his family, and there were a romors that the farmer sexually harassed and perhaps even rape the girl.
the setting of the story is a town of the middle west. i like the setting of the story because in this story only have one setting so don't make the reader confused.
i think this story tell about good things because this story tell about the power of woman that can life without her husband and ca survive alone and that the story can tell to all woman in this world that woman can be strong.
i think this story is very reasonable and maybe this story can happened with every woman in this world and this story use figurative language is simile.
i think the event in this story very important because this story tell about the woman emancipation.
